Our Mission

Like all state's in India the main GOAL in West Bengal is to eliminate malnutrition by providing nutritious food to children aged 0-6, pregnant and lactating mother's asper the Department of Women Child and Social Welfare of the Central Government and under the management of the State Government with the main GOAL of providing Pre-Primary Education to children aged 3-6 year's. along with this important services like boosting immunity, providing child marriage preventing child marriage, preparing birth and death records also baby growth charts are provide. in West Bengal this Service is carried out through 576 (416) Integrated Child Development Project , 1 lakh 16 thousand child center and 2lakh 32 thousand HONORARIUM workers work tirelessly to fulfill this great responsibility.

The Vision of Pashchim Bango Angawadi Kormi O Sahayika Kalyan Samiti is to Provide all services to children aged 0-6 years and pregnant- lactataing mothers in a smooth manner through this Department. to make the Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi Helpers involved in this work aware and vigilant about all matters, to unite everyone in the organization and to establish self respect, dignity, rights and demand. Building a better tomorrow through collective action and community engagement.

1) Drinking water and toilets in all children's center, 2) Renting a room asper govt. order in a children's center with out infrastructure. 3) 50% promotion from AWW to Supervisor position. 75% promotion from AWH to AWW position. 4) all rights and opportunities of PMJJBY and AKJJBY must be given. 5) All AWW and AWH given Identity card. 6) two appropriate uniforms in a year. 7) gas and oven with cylinder. 8) Electricity connection including electricity bill. 9) compensation of @ 5 lakh after attaining the age of 65 years. 10) 5g Mobile smart phone asper central govt. order.11) pension. 12) gratuity. 13) computer in all every child center, 14) new education act. 2005. DEMANDS -: 1) Government recognition, 2) Increase in Honorarium, addl. Honorarium, 3) Increment in every year, 4) compensation for loss of life during employment for pets, 5) Medical leave, 6) non government organization project should be included in government projects. Comprehensive programs covering education, healthcare, and social welfare.

Problems

This important and noble work could have been delivered better if the difficult problems could have been sincerely addressed. 1) There is alack of infrastructure and mismanagement healthy cooking facilities are still not available in many children's center. 2)most children's center's lack drinking water and toilet facilities. 3) The attendance rate of children aged 3-6 in Pre-Primary education in very low and the honorarium should be increased to trained and encourage AWW'S and AWH'S. 4) Central Government order and guideline's are not being properly followed. 5) The Anganwadi worker and Helper who have worked tirelessly to make this great Project a reality are being humiliated. neglected and deprived, being deprived many right.
